From: Maria Hoffmann

From November 11 to November 17 I travelled to Israel. I spent some very busy days there.

Most of the time I was in the North of Israel and I visited and met friends and Holocaust survivors. I was particularly moved by the meeting with Steffi, her children and grandchildren in Kfar Blum.

Again I realized how perfectly the time frame of God for the development of the movie ‘Survival – three Jewish generations’ has been. One of the protagonists has died in October and two others gotten very weak.

The encounters I had during my stay were characterized by love, the liveliness of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as well as of reconciliation.

Prof. Avishay Golz invited me to an organized concert of the Synagogal choir of Leipzig in Haifa. Thanks to the organization and arrangements of Avishay the day of the concert was wonderful. First we toured the German colony, had a reception in the city hall of Haifa and enjoyed a special meal in a Druze restaurant. The highlight was the concert in the evening. In the name of the city of Leipzig I welcomed the audience. The enthusiastically audience joined the singing the known Yiddish songs.

Thanks to Avishay I got to know on my last day Dan Chamizer who is in Israel a very popular artist. His grandfather was a much known physician and sculptor in Leipzig. It seems that Yeshua has opened again a new door for our service as perhaps we will organize for Dan Chamizer an exhibition at the Jewish week 2019 in Leipzig.
