I went with a group to attend the 3rd congregation Israel congress in Berlin between 8.11-10.11.2018.
These days were filled with worship of our Messiah and amazing bible teachings – drawn from the Hebrew original text – that were held by Messianic and German theologians. It is written in the prophets that the name of God is desecrated if the Jews don’t live again in the land of Israel. Ministries for Israel from Germany like Ebenezer, Initiative 27.Januar, Sächsische Israelfreunde and many others presented their works and invited at more than 40 different stands to personal cooperation as well as active participation. Along with sister Waltraud, Kerstin Schunke, Katrin Becher, Kristiane Flemmig, Peter Slowik, Maria and Manfred Hoffmann we had a stand of Gate to Zion, where we had good conversations and sold our documentary movie ‘Survival – three Jewish generations’ as well as books and DVDs of Rick Wienecke.
Highlight was the Shabbat celebration with the Messianic Beth Sar Shalom congregation of Berlin and the memorial service of the Reichsprogromnacht (‘Crystal night’) along with survivors of the Shoah on the 9th of November.
We participated in a demonstration against antisemitism and for solidarity with Israel at the Gate of Brandenburg on the 10th of November with about 1,000 participants. The speakers demanded full solidarity of the German government with Israel, what would include clear sanctions of Iran, which to destroy Israel. Germany is still the most important trading partner of Iran in whole Europe! Now it is time for Germany to recognize Jerusalem as the capital city of Israel. A special highlight was the speech of Knesset deputy speaker Yechiel Bar, that ‘accidentally’ passed the demonstration as well as the speech of the former Israeli spokesman of the armee, Arye Sharuz Schalicar.
