From February 3rd to 10th we, Manfred and Maria Hoffmann, were finally able to return to Israel.

Those were days of long-awaited encounters with family and friends and Holocaust survivors. With our grandchildren, we were able to explore the blossoming nature around Kibbutz Har'el (Mountain of God). Then we went to the Negev desert to Midrasha Ben Gurion (Sede Boker) to the Glik family and had a wonderful time of fellowship with Messianic brothers and sisters and with Avner and Rachel Boskey in Omer.

We were warmly welcomed by Avishay and Chava Golz in Haifa. We consulted with Avishay about the further processing of his book "Searching for my family". Later we also met our dear Mama Ruth in Kyriat Tiv'on and Dan Chamitzer in the artists' village Ein Hod. The last two years had taken their toll on everyone and they were happy to finally meet familiar people from Germany again. Meeting Karla Pilpel, who is now 91 years old and is still very active for others, made us very happy. A qualifying soccer game played by our great grandson Jehonatan and the birthday party of our youngest grandson Amichai with the grandparents of both parents were great family highlights.
