Men prayer Mount of olives in November 2009 PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 02 December 2009 13:07

Three men went also this November to Israel to pray on the Mt. of olives. In the prayer house "father house" from the Jerusalem convention in Berlin you have a direct view of the temple mount. If somebody thinks that prayer isn't his thing, he'll learn different way here. When you land here, you're diving in a atmosphere of prayer and you're inspirated by the view and the other brothers and sisters. Suddenly it isn't about you anymore but about the intentions of God with this city with its great king, who will return to this Jewish city as the Messiah and wil finish his salvation.

Alongside we ha a great time in Sde Boker and enjoyed the beauty of Negev desert. We also  prayed at the future area of Maayans, were in Beer Sheva for prayer support in the Messianic congregation. Another day we visited the service of "seeds of hope" of Taas Saada in Jericho. We were impressed by this unique service with Palestinian children and teenagers and it is worth the support. Women meeting October 2009 in Israel PDF Print E-mail

"By abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility." (Ephesians 2:15-16)

We are so grateful to experience the truth of the bible. Already some years contacts and relationships are growing towards Messianic-Jewsih women and every year since five years there is a women meeting in Israel. We experience how a inner connecting, love and intimacy grows.

This year 17 women from the Negev desert and 3 women from Germany met in Nes Harimin the prayer house of Arni and Yonit Kleinjust to be together in the presence of God (without any schedule).

We spend the time with worship, prayer, conversations, prayer for each other and for the land, we had wonderful meals together.

These days we felt that some women are having a hard time with their daily life. So we got the idea that next year it would be great to invite them to Germany for a pampering weekend. But for this we need money of course.

We will be happy about any financial help for this project. I want to encourage every woman to come with us. Despite all the work I was always the presentee.

Spending meals together was important for conversations

Visiting New York City 20.-31.07.09 PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 02 December 2009 11:09

Maria and I travelled in July for ten days to Manhattan and Brooklyn in New York City. It was very important for us to get to know the city and its inhabitants - after Israel most of the Jews are living there. The first thing we got aware of were the kindness and helpfulness of the New York residents. We felt welcome there right from the beginning. People from more than 100 nations who looking for freedom gave this place a unique inspiration. Next to the common sights like the impressive Empire State Building or Ellis Island - the immigration island which is located offshore, among other things we were seeking for Jewish live there. We found East Village where after their immigration most of the Jews lived. In Midtown Manhattan we went to a small messianic congregation "Kehilat Ha Derek", leaded by Rav Ben Zion. We were happy to go there for two gatherings. In Brooklyn there were more liberal and reformed synagogues.

Most Jews we met (what wasn't easy) we had the feeling that they barely have or seeking for a relationship with the god of Israel not to mention to the state of Israel.

I feel that we've got a prayer concern for the Jews in the USA through this journey. God wants them too in His land as part of His people and He wants to be with them.

Between the 21.06.09 and the 28.06.09 will take place in Leipzig for the eight time the Jewish week.

The program will be cultural diverse to get to know Jewish culture and the Jewish community of the city. There will be around 100 events. Most of the event organizers are researching since years the Jewish history of Leipzig and work for the preservation of the memory of Jews from Leipzig and their publications.

The concern of the Jewish week isn't only that inhabitants of Leipzig will get to know Jewish history and the Jewish community, but also to reduce prejudices.
