In October Maria Hoffmann travelled to Israel.

Maria needed to do a lot of preparations and conversations for the upcoming Jewish week in Leipzig in 2019. She travelled to Haifa to Avishay and Chava Golz, to Kfar Blum in the Hula valley to visit Steffi Seliger and her family. She went to Ein Hod to meet the artist Dan Chamitzer, that would like to bequeath the valuable artistic estate of his father and grandfather to the city of Leipzig. Maria also visited Karla Pilpel and Karen Maayan in Jerusalem. Unfortunately, Karen needed to be in as hospital because of her state of health.
