Avner and Rachel Boskey have ministered in a total of 7 places and churches in Saxony. The message Avner brought was not light fare. He first emphasised the calling of Israel as God's chosen people, which for the Jews represented suffering and glory, tears and privilege. They have experienced both cross (persecution, progroms, exile) and resurrection (resurrection and return of the people of Israel to their God-promised land of Israel). We are experiencing a time of exploding hatred of Jews and Israel. In the West, Islamists and woke students are calling for a Jew-free "Palestine", meaning that Israel should disappear from the map. There are public calls for the establishment of a caliphate in Europe. The pressure on Israel is getting stronger and stronger - it is like being in a birth canal - the labour pains are getting stronger and stronger - it is about the salvation of all Israel (Romans 11:25-29). However, we followers of Yeshua are not observers, but involved. These labour pains affect us - how do we react to the exploding anti-Semitism globally, which has taken on a new dimension? Do we remain silent about the blatant injustice of murdering, raping, looting, abducting Jews and destroying the 7th of October 2023 like the churches did last year? Are we prepared to protect Jews like Corrie ten Boom and Dietrich Bonhoeffer - at the risk of our lives if necessary? Are we prepared to suffer persecution for the sake of Jews and Yeshua? Before the resurrection comes the cross, before the glory comes suffering and persecution. We live in this time before the return of our Messiah in glory. Are we ready?
