Review

We were able to celebrate the New Year with a wonderful Hanukkah celebration on 1 January at the Rau family's home. Their living room was full to bursting and we were able to enjoy the time together in worship and delicious food. The Festival of Lights commemorates the victory of the pious Maccabees against the superiority of the Greeks and the subsequent consecration of the Temple. Simeon gave us much food for thought as we contemplated the statue that Nebuchadnezzar had erected in his time for the year 2025.
