Dance evening with Israeli dances
Review
One Saturday evening, we gathered to dance in the beautiful hall of the Arche Pegau. Walter Zink, the director of the Arche, had transformed the former workshop into an inviting space, with a wooden floor that was perfect for dancing. So a small group came together to learn Israeli dances and, of course, to dance.
To begin with, I spoke about the joy of life among the people of Israel, a joy that cannot be extinguished despite the war situation and hostility from many nations.
We kicked off the evening with the Hebrew song “Shalom Chaverim,” which we learned and sang together. Then the dancing began. Whether it was fun folk dances or worship dances, the group learned quickly and was able to help shape each dance on their own. So the evening flew by. In the end, we all agreed that there absolutely must be a second evening of Israeli dances!
A heartfelt thank you again to Walter Zink, who opened his doors for this evening.
