Evening service for Passover

Review

On Maundy Thursday, we were able to experience a wonderful Seder celebration in St Andrew's parish. It was impressively organised by Kerstin and Torsten Kluge, Peter and Britta Slowik. The Kluges had previously celebrated a Seder meal in Halle/Sa. with the local FEG. The captivating narration of the Exodus story by Kerstin and the Hebrew songs translated by Peter were real highlights alongside the Bring & Share Seder meal. Of course, the helpers in the preparation and follow-up work, in the kitchen and at the tables also contributed to the success of the event. We are delighted by the growing interest in the Hebrew roots of our faith.

Dear congregation and dear friends of Tor nach Zion,
We cordially invite you again this year to a joint Seder evening. This evening is the prelude to the Jewish Passover, which commemorates the liberation of the people of Israel from slavery, and Jesus also came to Jerusalem with his disciples to celebrate Passover in a last supper (seder meal).
We would like to spend this evening with you, have fellowship, sing, hear about the origin and deep meaning of Passover, and of course eat and drink together. It would be great if everyone could contribute something for our buffet. Just bring what you like to eat and a drink to go with it. That way it won't be too much for any of us
too much for any of us and we will have a richly laid table again.
So that we can plan better, we ask you to register at kerstin@kluge-leipzig.de by 13 April. Anyone who has the time and inclination to help us with the preparations is welcome to let me know! We are already looking forward to our evening together and send you our best wishes,
the preparation team of Gate to Zion
