Israel evening
Review
On a terribly hot day in August, we, Torsten and Kerstin Kluge, made our way to the beautiful Ore Mountains to visit Thomas and Elisabeth Stiel, leaders of a Protestant parish in Glauchau. We were invited to speak on the topic: "The Jewish roots of our faith". Elisabeth welcomed us with much love.
The evening began with worship. Afterwards we talked about the questions: "Are the roots of Christianity in the Jewish faith?" and "How was it possible that we could lose these roots?". We looked at the effects of the loss and considered how we can return to our Jewish roots and why this is so desperately needed.
We then talked about our last trip to Israel in February '25 and showed a short film about it.
We said goodbye with a song and a prayer. Afterwards we had some good conversations and I was invited to organise an evening of Jewish dancing in Glauchau. I was delighted to accept.
