Israeli dances

Review

After half a year, we met again in the hall of Arche Pegau to dance together. Since this time it was a Friday evening, it was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the beginning of Shabbat. We began with a short liturgy and shared the Shabbat bread and wine. Then we took some time to share what we had been especially grateful for recently.

After that, the first round of Israeli dances began. Some of the steps were quite fast, and they certainly made us work up a sweat, so we needed a longer break. We sat down at the beautifully prepared table and enjoyed the Shabbat meal. Everyone had contributed something.

The second round of dancing once again began with Israeli dances and concluded with two meditative dances led by Walter Zink. It was a beautiful and joyful evening that came to an end.

At the end, several participants asked whether and when another dance evening might take place. In any case, we are planning the next one for spring next year.
