Together with Rick and Dafna Wienecke we had the pleasure to take part in the 20th and last Saxony Israel conference in Glauchau. The conference had as its theme: „Why do the nations plan evil together? Why do they make useless plans?“ (Psalm 2:1) It is about the run against the authority and sovereignty of God – also in the church – e.g. in form of Bible criticism, that is based on making God up from the mainstream. The nations plan evil against the existence of the Jewish state but mean the God of Israel.
Very obvious is this among Islamists who can undisturbedly built up their anti-Christian and antidemocratic subculture among us.
Rick Wienecke has conveyed the message of "Fountain of tears", the dialogue of the suffering between the crucified Christ and the Holocaust survivor. Jesus entered the deepest human suffering there is. He didn't avoid this, but identified fully with the suffering of His people Israel. In the crucified we don't encounter a distant or absent God, but the one who meets us in the depth and gets very close to us.
My wife Maria could show the film trailer „ÜberLeben“ (survival). A documentary about Holocaust survivors that she along with other people supported and could walk the path of reconciliation. It starts with attention from Christians from Germany towards survivors and they start to talk about their horrible experiences because they feel the compassion of the Germans. Sometimes they open their heart for their saviour and Messiah Yeshua like Josef did. We are praying that they will all experience in turning to their Messiah a "payback" – for all the lost years and people.
At our stand from Tor nach Zion (Gate to Zion) we had nice encounters with friends of Israel from Nuremberg, Hamburg, Berlin and especially with our dear friends from the Ore Mountains from the craftsmen service of the Saxonian Israel friends. At the conference they passed on officially the baton to the board of the Christian forum for Israel for future conferences and meetings and for Germany-wide congresses. The Christian Forum of Israel gives a voice to a lot of Israeli organizations in Germany.
